Valresa's lab is the real engine of group development. It developed over 300 formulations per year, which then become ready to use and wood coatings which are then adapted to needs and characteristics of different countries.

We are interested in trying new ideas and see if they work. We have thus developed new coatings that have changed the way of painting of our customers. A polyurethane base need not be sanded, varnish finish with a hard top or a fire-retardant coatings are an example varnishes that have been an example of innovation within the indutry.

The real coatings development laboratory is when the varnishing is also incorporates to the research. Once developed formulas that are applied by our experts on the application of varnish, we show the advantages over competing wood coatings.

Some wood coatings take longer to get into the market because we don’t want these to be used by our more than 6,000 customers without having done all the quality tests ensure that we meet the most demanding requirements.
