History

1965: Year in which Valencia de Recubrimientos S.A. (Valencia Surface Treatments, S.A.) is founded in the city of Valencia, Spain.

 

1994: Valresa begins its internationalization process with the acquisition of Acabados Químicos Mexicanos S.A. de C.V. (Mexican Chemical Finishes, S.A.), currently Valresa México.

 

1998: Efforts carried out in recent years to introduce a high-quality atmosphere in the organization are obtained with the ISO 90001:2000 certification.

 

2000: The internationalization process of the company continues with the opening of diverse distribution centers in numerous Latin American countries.

 

2003: With the inauguration of the new Valresa facilities, the Group now has one of the most modern factories in Europe for the investigation, production and commercialization of lacquers and varnishes.

 

2004: In keeping with the process of foreign investment and improvement abroad, works begin on the remodeling of Valresa Mexico—projects that will conclude two years later and will provide our facilities in Mexico with a highly technical production center.

 

2005: Valresa signs a contract with Bayer Material Science, by means of which all Grupo Valresa products now carry the Bayer quality seal on their containers.

 

2005: Valresa signs a joint venture agreement with the Turkish manufacturer Iba Kimya, one of the top companies in the world in the production and commercialization of powder coatings, giving way to the IBA Valresa Society. Construction works begin on the joint facility in Ankara, Turkey.

 

2008: The new Valresa facilities in Turkey (IBA Valresa) are inaugurated, thus joining a fourth production center to Grupo Valresa.
